Modifiers are always looking to take things one step further. This has been the tradition for many years, pretty much ever since modification started. It’s always been about having the newest, biggest or best of something in order to make your car stand out from the crowd.
A good example of this would be alloy wheels, modifiers have always wanted to have bigger wheels, it started with 15″ being the desired size, but then people wanted to put on 17″ wheels, then it got into the 20″s and sizes have continued to increase from there. The same is true of most modifications, people try to make their car lower and lower, they increase the size of spoilers and people try out more outrageous paint jobs. It’s always about being that little bit different.
One of the most recent developments in car accessories which has proven to be a massive hit in the USA is tyre styling. This basically involves painting your tyres with specialist tyre paint from us at DemonKar. You apply the paint so it fills the tread on your tyre; this then adds quite a large area of colouring and gives another modified area on your car. This paint also comes in a range of colours allowing you to further continue a modifying theme throughout your car.
Tyre painting is a great advancement in the world of car modifying. Previously, tyres were probably the largest area left that could not be modified. Thankfully this no longer has to be the case and modifiers have yet another way to express themselves.

Wing mirrors are a necessity on your car especially if you do a lot of motor way driving. A smashed or broken wing mirror can cause problems when overtaking plus it is an MOT failure to have a broken wing mirror. If your wing mirror is smashed or broken it is not necessarily true that you will have to replace the complete wing mirror. The most cost effective way is to stick a wing mirror glass on top of your original wing mirror glass but this will only work if your original glass is cracked but still in position also if your wing mirror is heated the heated element will no longer work . The other way without having to replace the complete wing mirror is to replace the broken glass with a wing mirror glass with a backing plate which will be exactly the same as your original glass. If none of these options are possible then you would need to buy a complete wing mirror.
Our Door/Wing Mirror and glass programme has developed to become the most comprehensive available to the aftermarket. The wing mirror and glass range covers every major vehicle marque and offers a perfect combination of O.E. quality and competitive pricing.
The days of the ‘universal, one fits all cars’ wing mirror are gone. Door mirrors are vehicle specific and are operated either manually, by lever, by cable or electronically. The finish on a mirror is either traditional black or increasingly primed or colour coded. Wing mirror glasses are often tinted, heated or curved for improved vision and several present split images.

One small but often neglected aspect of car modification is the steering wheel. It seems such a silly thing to neglect when you consider how much use we make of it. We use it constantly when driving so it’s important that it looks good and feels comfortable to use. A steering wheel is certainly not a small item of a car; any modifier should really look to be modifying the steering wheel if they are serious about changing the appearance of their car. Car accessories are not just matters of aesthetics; some car accessories can be practical, as will be illustrated below.
It’s not just modifiers who should look into modifying their steering wheel. For any regular driver, a comfortable steering wheel has to be better than a standard steering wheel. I’m sure we’ve all been in the situation where our car has sat in the sun, we get in, try to drive off, but only to find that the steering wheel is simply too hot. The same principle applies in the winter. The leather holds the cold and when you try to use it, you find that it’s incredibly cold and you end up pulling your jumper sleeves over your hand just so you don’t have to touch the cold leather. This can be dangerously distracting.
One easy way to avoid these problems is to buy a steering wheel cover from DemonKar. We supply a huge range of fabric covers that simply slide over your existing steering wheel. Just imagine how much it could improve those cold winter mornings, you put your steering wheel cover on the radiator, put the steering wheel cover on and then drive away with nice warm hands.
We also supply a range of other car accessories to assist in helping you achieve a co-ordinated car, with a variety of car mats and car seat covers on offer.

Alloy wheels look cool. That’s a simple fact and it’s one that’s very hard to argue with. When it comes to car accessories, the difference that a decent set of alloys can make to a car is quite outstanding. You could have a standard hatchback, put on some alloys and it instantly transforms the look into something else completely. After the bodywork of a car, the wheels are probably the next big thing that you notice, it’s important to have something good if you want people to take notice.
However, there is one bad thing that can happen with alloy wheels. In the 1990s, there were a few very famous sets of alloy that a lot of modifiers purchased. These were TSW Stealth and TSW Venom alloys. These could be seen on nearly every second modified car. They still looked great, but they lost their individuality. Modification without individuality is never a good thing, which is why it can often be useful to incorporate simpler accessories into your car design, too – such as car mats and car seat covers that can make your car different to the Average Joe’s.
Thankfully, their may be a solution to this. DemonKar supply some car accessories that may make this problem a thing of the past. Valve caps can provide that mark of individuality that all modifiers crave. We supply a huge range of valve caps in a wide variety of colours and styles. LED valve caps would certainly set your wheels apart from another set. Bullet shaped valve caps are an eye catching style. Maybe you’d just prefer some standard valve caps, but in a colour that matches your car. Whatever your taste, the chances are that we will have something that you will like.

There are probably many of us who think that the paint used on a car is the paint that the body shell is painted in. This is a fair assumption; if you look at a car then the thing that standards out most is the paint for the bodywork. This paint does cover a large portion of the car’s body and it is the only paint you can see so it is not wrong, on any standard vehicle, to assume that this is the only part of a car that is painted.
Modifiers know this to be completely untrue. Modifiers have been using paints and sprays to colour coordinate their cars for many years. The uses for these specialty paints and sprays is probably a lot larger than you’d think. For example, one relatively recent modification is to spray the brake calipers on your car.
On cars with alloy wheels, the brake caliper is usually very visible, painting it to colour coordinate with the rest of your car or maybe a contrasting colour, is just another way to make your car stand out from the crowd. Other car accessories can also be sprayed with the right paint. Lens tinting spray from DemonKar can be used to colour the rear light of your car. This does not change the colour of the light as this would be illegal. It does however help to change the colour of the lens so it fits in with the rest of your car. Combine this modification with more lightweight ones, such as car seat covers and car bulbs, and the astute use of car accessories can change the look of your car significantly.

The world of car modification is one of great extremes. You have the modifiers who spend thousands of pounds on purchasing car accessories and modifications, and then you have modifiers on a more modest budget who work on many smaller and cheaper modifications. There really are no rules or limits when it comes to modifying your car, it’s really up to personal choice.
On the extreme side, there are numerous modifiers who have spent more on modifications than they would have spent on the car in the first place. The type of modifications required for a project like this would typically include things like full body kits, resprays, engine replacement/enhancement and full system exhausts. These items are usually the ones that cost a lot of money and are therefore out of reach to a lot of people, as opposed to modifications that ensure you don’t feel the pinch, such as car seat covers and car mats.
On a more financially restrained level, there are numerous car accessories available that won’t break the bank. Simple things such as gear gaiters, car mats, seat covers and even lights can be purchased for less than £50. Purchasing several of these smaller and cheaper modifications can certainly make a significant visual change. You probably won’t find many performance enhancements in this price range, but improving your vehicle’s appearance is always an important first step.
If you are looking to purchase car accessories, whether they be big or small, then DemonKar are definitely the place to go. We stock a huge range of accessories and parts making it easy to choose the modification that will suit both your wallet and your modifying style.

Car modification has often been seen as a bit of an underground interest. It’s something that has certainly not been in the mainstream, its exposure in the media, especially in this country, has been very limited. Its promotion in the English media has been limited to a couple of magazines and the very occasional late night TV programme.
Car modification using car accessories has always had its followers; its popularity in other countries such as Japan and the USA has always been high. One thing that has helped to increase car modification popularity in this country has been the release of several high profile films based around modified cars. The Fast and the Furious series of films have been immensely popular. The first film was released back in 1991. This film was an unexpected hit and really introduced a huge audience to the world of car modification. Large parts of the film involved the purchase of car accessories in order to modify the looks and improve the performance of the owners’ cars. People who previously were not interested in car modification were able to see the style, music and culture that come with the car modification scene.
If you happened to see any of the films and developed an interest in car modification, then you may wish to purchase some car accessories from DemonKar. We supply a huge range of accessories, from small interior modifications such as car seat covers, all the way up to larger external modifications such as spoilers and exhausts.

When it comes to installing car speakers, stereos, amplifiers or even subwoofers, it’s important to make sure you have suitable wiring that is up to the job. It’s the same with anything in life, you could have a Ferrari but if you have a Fiesta engine in it, then it may still look nice, but it’s not going to perform nearly as well as it should do. Even if you’re fortunate enough to have purchased fantastic car stereo equipment with superb car speakers, it really counts for nothing if you don’t have the right cables connecting it all together.
This is where DemonKar come in because we supply a huge range of amplifier wiring kits. Each kit if specifically designed for a certain power output (watts). Our wiring kits come rated depending on the power output of your sound system. These kits can handle anything from entry level 480 watts systems, all the way up to 2000 watt competition systems. With these kits rated by power output, it is impossible to go wrong. You simply work out the power output of your stereo system and then purchase the kit capable of handling that power.
One huge safety benefit of our kits, is that all of them come with an in line fuse. This may not sound a big deal but, when dealing with electrical current, a fuse can be the difference between life and death. If your system does not have an in line fuse and if there is a short circuit, then your system could overheat and catch fire.

If you’re thinking about replacing your car speakers or just generally upgrading any part of your car’s sound system, then the chances are, it won’t be quite as easy as you’d have hoped. Replacing your speakers or head unit may just appear to be a case of taking the old one out and putting the new one in, but, in most cases, it’s never that simple. There are two major problems that people tend to find. The first problem is wiring. Some older cars and even some newer cars do not have the standard ISO connector, this means that your new flash head unit will not connect to the existing speaker loom. The second problem is the dashboard and stereo facia. Most modern cars come with what is called a double DIN stereo, this is basically twice the size of a regular car stereo. This makes fitting a replacement stereo nearly impossible.
Fortunately, DemonKar supply a large range of both harness adapter leads (ISO connectors) and facia adaptors. We supply over 80 different adaptor leads so the chances are that you’ll find one that will allow connection of your new stereo to your existing car speakers. We also supply facia adaptors for most makes and models of cars. These facia adaptors allow you to remove your existing double sized stereo and replace it with your single DIN aftermarket stereo. These two simple accessories can help to make the process of upgrading your car stereo quick and painless; a small outlay can remove a lot of potential problems.

Car enthusiasts are always trying new and interesting modifications to stand out from the crowd. There have been many trends introduced into UK car modifying over the last ten years that have really made huge visual changes. Graphics and decals are a relatively recent introduction to the modifying scene and there popularity is immense. Lexus style rear tail lights have been around for quite a while now, but the impact they had on styling in the 1990s is almost impossible to measure.
Another recent trend in the world of car accessories is exterior and neon lighting. The range of lighting specifically designed for cars is now immense. DemonKar supply a wide range of these products. We supply possibly the best lighting accessory there is, an underbody LED kit. If you’re not too familiar with underbody lighting, basically, the idea is to light up underneath the car. This is usually achieved with the use of four neon tubes or four strip lights of LED’s running underneath each side of the car. These lights produce a vibrant glow under the car that really catches the eye.
Although it is illegal to use these lights whilst driving, they are perfectly legal to use when parked up and showing off your vehicle. Other lighting ideas include LED valve caps. These valve caps replace the standard dust caps on your wheels. They are completely legal to use and produce a great visual effect whilst driving. We even supply LED number plate bolts, perfect for brightening up a usually dull area of the car.
